What It Does #

Social Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and TikTok coming soon) let you connect your accounts so you can receive and reply to messages and comments from one place. You connect each channel (Facebook Page for Messenger and Facebook Comments, Instagram for DM and comments, WhatsApp), configure optional conversation starters and auto-reply in Auto DM & Comments, and reply from the Unified Inbox. Social messaging and comment reply typically require Helpmate Pro.

Requirements #

  • Helpmate Pro — Full social messaging and comment features require Pro.
  • Accounts — Facebook Page (Messenger + optional comments), Instagram (DM + optional comments), WhatsApp Business (or approved channel).

Where to Configure #

Go to Helpmate → Social Chat (or Channels) and select Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp. Connection and settings can also be started from Auto DM & Comments.

Connecting Channels #

  • Facebook — Connect a Facebook Page for Messenger and optionally enable Facebook Comments. Follow the Connect flow; allow popups if the auth window does not open.
  • Instagram — Connect Instagram (often linked to the same Facebook Page). Enables Instagram DM and optionally comments.
  • WhatsApp — Connect via the approved WhatsApp Business API or channel. A phone number can only be linked to one WhatsApp account.
  • TikTok — Listed as coming soon.

After Connecting #

Configure auto-reply and comment auto-reply in Helpmate → Automations → Auto DM & Comments. Reply to conversations in Helpmate → Inbox (Social Messages or Comments views). Leads from social (Messenger, Instagram DM, WhatsApp) are captured automatically and appear in Helpmate → CRM → Leads if you configured it in Helpmate → Automations → Marketing → Lead Capture.
