Auto DM & Comments

What It Does #

Auto DM & Comments automates replies on Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, and WhatsApp, and can auto-reply to comments on Facebook and Instagram. You connect your accounts (Facebook Page, Instagram, WhatsApp), then turn on per-platform Auto reply and (where applicable) Comment auto reply. You can also create lead campaigns that capture leads from these channels; leads appear in Lead Capture. Some features require Helpmate Pro.

Requirements #

• Social accounts — Facebook Page (for Messenger and optionally Facebook Comments), Instagram (for DM and optionally comments), WhatsApp (Business API or approved channel).
• Helpmate Pro — Required for full Auto DM & Comments and social messaging; connect flows may vary by platform.

Where to Configure #

Go to Helpmate → Automations → Support Automation → Auto DM & Comments.

Connect Accounts #

For each platform (Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, WhatsApp) use the Connect (or similar) action to link your account. Follow the redirect and popup flow; allow popups for the site if the connection window does not open. For WhatsApp, a phone number can only be linked to one WhatsApp account at a time.

Platform Settings #

• Messenger — Enable; toggle Auto reply and Comment auto reply.
• Instagram DM — Enable; toggle Auto reply and Comment auto reply.
• WhatsApp — Enable; toggle Auto reply (comments not applicable).
• Comments — Master toggle for comment auto-reply (Facebook/Instagram comments).

Lead Campaigns #

Create and manage lead campaigns that capture leads from these channels. Campaigns can have a name, optional form or trigger, and are listed in a table with Edit and Delete. Captured leads appear under Helpmate → Automations → Lead Capture.
