What It Does #
Chatbot Tone & Language (under Settings, Chatbot tab) controls whether the AI is enabled and how it communicates: you choose a tone (Friendly, Professional, Casual, or Technical) and a language (e.g. Default auto-detect, English, Spanish, French, and many others). These settings affect how the AI responds across the chat. The Chatbot tab is sometimes labeled “Chatbot” or “AI” in the Settings menu.
Requirements #
- Helpmate — Part of Settings. API key and knowledge base are configured elsewhere.
Where to Configure #
Go to Helpmate → Automation → Customization and open the Chatbot tab.
Settings #
- AI enabled — Master switch to turn the AI chatbot on or off.
- Tone — How the bot sounds:
- Friendly — Warm and approachable
- Professional — Formal and business-like
- Casual — Relaxed and informal
- Technical — Precise and detailed
- Language — Response language. Options include Default (auto-detect), English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Turkish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Greek, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Thai, and others.
Save after changing. Tone and language apply to AI-generated replies; they do not change the language of your knowledge base content.
