Appearance

What It Does #

Appearance lets you customize how the chatbot widget looks and sounds. You can set the bot name, bot icon, primary and secondary colors (or gradients), font size, notification sound, launcher icon and size, position (e.g. right or left), and icon shape (e.g. circle). Bot name and bot icon require Helpmate Pro. A live preview helps you see changes before saving; some other options may also require Pro.

Requirements #

• Helpmate — Appearance is part of Settings.
• Helpmate Pro — Bot name and bot icon require Pro.

Where to Configure #

Go to Helpmate → Automation → Customization and open the Appearance tab.

Settings #

• Bot name — Name shown for the bot (e.g. Helpmate). Requires Pro.
• Bot icon — Image used for the bot avatar in the chat. Requires Pro.
• Primary color / gradient — Main theme color or gradient for the widget.
• Secondary color / gradient — Secondary theme.
• Font size — Text size in the chat (e.g. 1rem).
• Sound effect — Notification sound when new messages arrive (e.g. notification-1 through notification-5).
• Launcher icon — Icon shown on the page to open the chat.
• Icon size — Size of the launcher icon (e.g. 60px).
• Position — Widget position (e.g. right or left).
• Icon shape — Shape of the launcher (e.g. circle).

Use the preview to confirm the look, then save. Appearance works together with Behavior and Chatbot (tone/language) on the same Settings page.
